SELVA 6 is a low-viscosity, fluoride-free concentrated fire extinguishing foam used to extinguish Class B (hydrocarbon fuel) and Class A fires.

SELVA 6 consists of organic solvents, hydrocarbon-based surfactants, and other performance additives. It contains no halogenated organic compounds, and the foam concentrate or solution is easily biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

SELVA 6 creates foam to prevent oxygen from contacting the fuel or combustion zone, thereby effectively extinguishing the fire. The fire extinguishing performance of SELVA 6 is similar to fluoride-based concentrated foam in hydrocarbon fuel fires.

SELVA 6 can be used as a replacement for AFFF concentrated fire extinguishing foams.

SELVA 6 is suitable for use with fresh water to extinguish Class B fires (hydrocarbon fuels). It is not suitable for use with polar fuel fires.

SELVA 6 is also used for Class A fires due to its excellent wetting properties.

SELVA 6 can be used with low, medium, and high expansion foam spraying equipment (nozzles, sprayers, foam chambers, etc.). However, because it does not have the ability to form a water film, its application with mist nozzles will not be as effective as the AFFF concentrated foam.

APPROVALS AND LISTINGS	SELVA 6 is certified according these standards: TCVN 7278-1 (EN 1568-3) Classification ID (fresh water and sea water)
MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION COMPATIBILITY	Recommended construction materials are stainless steel (Type SUS304 or SUS316). In addition, SELVA 6 is also suitable for use with synthetic resins such as PE, PVC, PET,… SELVA 6 is not suitable for use on equipment and accessories made from galvanized material which can cause corrosions.
COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER CONCENTRATES	You should consult VINAFOAM experts before using with other powders or foam concentrates.
SHELF LIFE	The shelf life of foam concentrate is maximized by proper storage conditions and maintenance. The shelf life of SELVA 6 is about 10-15 years if the storage is done according to the recommendations of VINAFOAM. Annual testing of all firefighting foam is recommended by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), so samples of SELVA 6X shall be sent to VINAFOAM or qualified laboratories for quality testing at least annually.
STORAGE AND HANDLING	Storage temperature: from 0 ^oC to + 50 ^oC. SELVA 6 is ideally stored in its original shipping container or in tanks or other containers which have been designed for such foam storage. If the product is frozen during storage and transportation, thawing will render the product completely usable. You should stir well after freeze thawing the product.
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION	Aquatic Toxicity	The aquatic environment, including sensitive species to highly tolerant species, is not affected by SELVA 6 products.
	Biodegradability	SELVA 6 is almost completely biodegradable: BOD₂₈/ COD ~ 0,99.
	Sewage Treatment Treatability	Due to its excellent biodegradability, SELVA 6 products almost do not require a wastewater treatment system.
