– Occurred at 9:54 PM in a ground-floor apartment due to a self-connected electrical short circuit that spread rapidly.
– The apartment building lacked a separate emergency exit for the ground-floor apartment, and the balconies had been illegally extended.
– This resulted in 8 fatalities (including 2 children).
Fires in Bac Giang/Ho Chi Minh City caused by electrical short circuits, rechargeable batteries, electric motorbikes, etc.
– Many fires caused significant damage because conventional fire extinguishers were ineffective against fires caused by lithium batteries and electrical equipment.
The fire on the Song Do oil rig (May 21, 2025):
– Originating from dismantling work, the fire spread rapidly, killing one person and injuring seven.
